Last week, our English Club enjoyed an exchange session with one of Chuo’s sister schools, “Impington Village College” in Cambridge, the UK.

Year 9 students in Cambridge practiced asking questions in Japanese about Japanese culture, and our students practiced answering in English and asking questions in English.

We learned that students at Impington Village College are divided into “houses” like students in Harry Potter are. The students wear casual uniforms with the house “symbol” on their sweaters. We were surprised to learn that students in both Japan and the UK like KPOP music.

It was a short exchange, but it was very enjoyable. We were happy to hear that the Coronavirus situation in the UK is improving these days.
